Palma de Mallorca Airport

Palma de Mallorca Airport (PMI) is the third busiest airport in Spain. It is located on the island of Mallorca, part of Spain�s Balearic Islands autonomous community. Also referred to as Son Sant Joan Airport, it lies on the southern side of the island, around 8 kilometres from Palma, the capital of Mallorca.

Handling more than 33.8 million passengers per year, Palma de Mallorca Airport is one of Europe’s busiest leisure airports and one of the main gateways to the Balearic Islands and the Mediterranean. In 2025, it ranked as Spain’s third busiest airport and was among the 15 to 20 busiest airports in Europe by passenger traffic. Most of its traffic is international, with Germany, the United Kingdom and Switzerland representing the airport’s main inbound tourism markets.

The airport has a single passenger terminal connected to four boarding areas known as Modules A, B, C and D. It operates two parallel runways in a 06/24 configuration, allowing simultaneous flight operations. The airport also includes three cargo terminals and a General Aviation terminal equipped to handle private flights, business aviation and air taxi services.
